One of France’s top sites - opposite Carnac’s famous standing stones and close to sandy beaches.
This campsite, with a beautiful setting in the parklands of an old Breton Manor, is a member of the prestigious Castels chain. Its carefully landscaped grounds provide privacy with grassy pitches screened by hedges and trees. There is a superb waterpark with a covered pool, slides and lazy river. In high season there is an organised programme of events and the amphitheatre is the venue for evening entertainment. Some noise can be heard on-site. The beach is a twenty minute bike ride away from the campsite on quiet roads.
You can walk or cycle past the famous standing stones that run for two miles from the campsite. Carnac Plage has a lively atmosphere and an excellent range of restaurants. Visit the ancient Breton town of Auray with its attractive medieval harbou,r on market day and explore the old streets of Vannes. For a change of pace you can explore the beautiful Brière Regional Park to the south and the Gulf of Morbihan.
