Situated in the region of Gironde (33), and the middle of the Medoc wine region, "La Côte d'Argent" welcomes you to its magnificent, 20 hectares, pine forest site. The campsite is ideally sited in an area of outstanding natural beauty, and is the ideal starting point to visit the chateaux of Medoc, discover the beautiful town of Bordeaux, or sample the famous oysters of Arcachon. Just a short walk away is Hourtin Plage, a Mecca for surfers, with miles of unspoilt sandy beaches, and a bustling nightlife, with a wide choice of bars and restaurants. The town is small but perfectly formed, with entertainment, activities and a weekly night market throughout the summer.
A 10 min into drive away is France's largest fresh water lake. Thanks to its warm and shallow water, it is ideal for young families. The lake also offers facilities for fishing, sailing, wind surfing and kite surfing. The area has one of the best cycle networks in Europe. From right outside the campsite, you can pick one of the many trails which meander through the forest, and discover this fantastic natural reserve in tranquility. The area is mostly flat so ideal for children
